Vermont ２日目は、Snowshoeingで滞在しているキャビンの周囲を歩きました。
美しい自然の中で楽しい散歩が出来ました。
また、Stoweの街にも行きました、この街は古き良き趣のある可愛い雪山の街で、たくさんの可愛い個人経営のお店とたくさんのレストランがあります。
私たちは、チーズが溶けた部分を削って食べるラクレット、スイスや雪山の国では有名な食べ物を食べました。
そのレストランはとてもこじんまりしていて、暖炉の中でチーズを溶かすのでとても良い燻製の匂いがします。
ポテトと玉ねぎと一緒に食べましたが、もちろんワインも一緒にです。
また、メイン州で採れた新鮮な牡蛎も、Vermont州の地元で作れられたチーズと一緒に食べました。
たくさんの美味しそうなレストランがあって、どこもとても美味しそうでした。
The next day, we went snowshoeing around the cabin we stayed at. It
was so nice to walk in the snow and enjoy the beautiful nature. We also
went around the town of Stowe. Stowe is a very quaint and cute snow
town. There are so many cute local stores and
tons of delicious places to eat. We ate raclette, a popular dish from
Switzerland as well other alpine countries, which is based on heating
cheese and scrapping off the melted part. The restaurant was very neat
in that the raclette was in the fireplace so
the cheese had a nice smoky flavor. We had it with potatoes and onions
and of course had to have it with wine! We also had delicious oysters
that were freshly caught in Maine as well as local Vermont cheeses.
There are so many places to eat and all look too
delicious!
